Longquan Sword

Forged with folded steel, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating over twelve-thousand individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing the finest combat sword blades. 

Leaving a true identifier, the very beautiful & unique patterns formed by the above crucible mix of steels, only the blade’s edges are finely ground-away. Leaving the blade’s core with its natural crucible-forge patterns, preserved as a feature, and as a testament to the sword maker’s skill & dedication.

Sword and scabbard fittings are decorated with intricate brass artworks, of which many are plated in real gold – very lavish materials and artistry, spanning thousands of years of tradition.
