Nagamaki Sword

Equipped with a T10 steel sword blade, which is a modern, highly refined, iron base-steel alloyed with a high on average 1.0% carbon content, along with small amounts of tungsten, manganese and silicon. 

T10 is one of the highest carbon content modern steels used for sword-smithing and arguably the best combat sword-making steel available, certainly forming a very lethal foundational core to this big sword. Blade characteristics include a hard, tough, reliable & wear-resistant cutting edge, along with desirable blade resilience and good elasticity.

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay-tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced sword-making technology and visibly identifiable on this Shinken sword blade.

Completed with a hardwood, wrapped with real stingray-skin scabbard, along with solid brass sword-fittings, and a hardwood, wrapped with genuine stingray-skin and quality cord handle, forming a traditional, practical and effective Japanese Samurai hand-grip. 

This long handle Katana is lethal, and is executed entirely in fine form. It’s highly collectable, a pleasure to own and a formidable war sword to use.
