Deer Field Dressing Knife

The gut hook is designed to quickly open the abdominal cavity like a zipper without puncturing internal organs, and the caping knife designed for the specialised task of precisely removing the hide from meat without damage. Any dense cartilage or bone cuts are made with the bone cutting saw. 

Fitted with a 5Cr15MoV blade, which is a modern iron-base steel alloyed with on average 0.5% Carbon, 15% Chromium and smaller amounts of Molybdenum, Vanadium, Silicon and Manganese. Blade characteristics include good toughness and excellent hardness, easy sharpening to a razor-sharp degree and excellent corrosion resistance.

Completed with a molded aluminium-alloy handle, the knife as a whole is designed to last a lifetime, and the built-in belt-clip facilitates secure attachment to a waist-belt, webbing-strap, pocket, etc.
