Tanto Knife Traditional

Forged with folded steel, which is a mixture of 1045 soft steel, 1060 high carbon steel, manganese spring steel and many more smaller portions of other steels. This mixture is then folded multiple times to remove impurities, creating many hundreds of individual steel layers, finally producing arguably the best sword & knife-making steel available, a technique renowned for smithing Japanese Katana and Tanto knife blades. 

Further promoting perfection, is the very difficult process of clay tempering the blade. This process precisely facilitates hardening of the blade’s edge, while leaving the blade’s core and spine softer and thus resilient. Definitely a marker of advanced Japanese blade making technology and visibly identifiable on this knife’s blade. 

Compiled with a matching hardwood, wrapped in real stingray-skin + buffalo horn insert, handle & scabbard, this Samurai Tanto is uniquely positioned for ceremonial use or ornamental display. And of-course, functions as an extremely deadly knife, with a razor sharp & versatile cutting and stabbing knife blade.
